The meal that prospers

Having a meal is generally a good thing. Dining with the king of kings is an especially good thing.

One of the characteristics of dining with the king is that you experience overflowing blessing.

Psalms 23:5 (NKJV)
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

You are about to eat a meal that will cause your cup of prosperity to run over.

Not every meal prospers

Jeremiah 31:29 (NKJV)
In those days they shall say no more: ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, And the children's teeth are set on edge.’

A meal of sour grapes is a meal that does not prosper.

1. The company you keep. Psalm 1:1-3
2. The presence or absence of God. Job's children. Job 1:13, 18. King Belshazzar Daniel 5:1-4
- Job's children just wanted to enjoy life and an ill wind of destruction blew upon them. Maybe if they had been more mindful of God...
- it's not every party food you must eat, ask what are they celebrating? To which god did they dedicate it to?
3. The food itself that you're eating. Two women who ate their children. May you not eat your future. 2 Kings 6:28-29
4. The heart of the person giving the food. Pro 23:6-8. Make up your mind never to take something that is not given to you with love. God is your source!

How does it prosper?

1. It multiplies itself. 5 loaves miracle. You will never go hungry again.

Matthew 14:19-21 (NKJV)
Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

2. It separates you from evil. The children of Israel ate a meal and were delivered from the angel of death.  After tonight's meal, every plan of death and destruction over your life is cancelled.

Exodus 12:13 (NKJV)
Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

3. It takes sickness far away from you. I will bless your food and water

Exodus 23:25 (NKJV)
“So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.

4. It opens your eyes to revelation. Disciples on the road to emmaus.

Luke 24:30-31 (NKJV)
Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.

5. It exposes your enemies. Judas at the table with Jesus

John 13:21-27 (NKJV)
When Jesus had said these things, He was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.” Then the disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom He spoke. Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore motioned to him to ask who it was of whom He spoke. Then, leaning back on Jesus’ breast, he said to Him, “Lord, who is it?” Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”

6. It prospers you supernaturally. Israelites who asked for gifts of the Egyptians. God is about to bring about the miracle of restoration for someone here. The anointing for catchup!

Exodus 12:35-36 (NKJV)
Now the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing. And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.

7. It helps you overcome generational enemies that are too strong for you. The meal overpowered Pharaoh and all the forces of Egypt. After eating this meal, Egypt will let you go.

Exodus 12:31-32 (NKJV)
The Exodus Then he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, “Rise, go out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel. And go, serve the Lord as you have said. Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also.”

8. It delivers you from hell. When eaten with revelation

Revelation 3:20 - Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
